  • sister Haleh I would like to sincerely thank you. my daughter has not been able to settle to sleep and last week I started Mindfulness meditation and she has been so well settled since then. we do it every night now! and now I started it this morning too and my anxiety was massively reduced all day Alhamdulillah!

  • It can be so difficult to think things through, especially when getting confronted with many dysfunctional core beliefs. inshaAllah that will get easier

  • So being mindful really means to just being deeply aware of your own state and those around you, and seeing the big picture and relaxing into it
  • David Hawkins talks about this in his book, Letting Go! Wow, a lot of what you are saying is what I have so far read in his book masha’Allah, we are being taught quality info masha’Allah tabarakallah!

  • Love that - think of our thoughts as floating clouds, be aware of your thoughts and feelings and choose carefully which ones to give attention to. ♥️
  • I like to think about the prophet peace be upon him when he was meditating in cave Hiraa when the myth that meditation is a Buddhist thing comes up ... so I feel even better about it

  • Life is a test. Allah tests us with all sorts. We shall be tested. It will happen we have to just hold on with mindfullness stay in the present and remember Allah and have trust in Allah it will pass. This reminder helps me to stay in the present.

  • I have lived with anxiety for a very long time. Trying to be more mindful has made it easier for me to recognise when I am dwelling on the past or in the future. One of the Mindful Hearts lectures inspired me to make duah for how to find the positive in my situation. Alhamdulillah, the inspiration was that when my mind is focussed on the past, It's highly likely I'm thinking of something that I can make taubah or shukr for and if I'm trying to live in the future I'm possibly thinking of something I can make duah for or seek refuge in Allah from. So I try my best to change my "unmindful thinking" into thikr when I can.
  • I feel that getting up and get my coffee in peace and do the breathing helps me to have a good start of the day. when I feel that my objectives of the day are too much I just get content with what I have done

  • Sisters, I bought the 5 min journal and really recommend anyone buy it if they struggle with journalling. It has been super beneficial and has helped me with being grateful in the beginning of the day and end!
  • when writing a gratitude journal it’s great to add why I’m grateful for the particular thing.
